Art direction | 3D | Compositing | Sound Design : AlphonseSoftwares : C4D, After Effects, Audacity Here is a series of 3 episodes on the adventures of Q*bert. This dude is a little video game character from the 80’s. These videos are originally based on tutorials by EJ Hassenfratz as part of School of Motion’s C4D Basecamp. I really liked this character so I decided to push the storytelling and the direction much further. I first worked on C4D to make all the animations and then on After Effects for the compositing and all the FX. I worked on the sound design with Audacity software and I used music composed by Kevin McLeod & David Renda. Still Frames Still Frames Still Frames

NES

The Nintendo NES was my first video game console when I was a kid and Mario Bros is a reference. I spent a lot of hours on this game. Practicing 3D modeling with the NES was really fun. Illustration Wireframe   Animated version Your browser does not support the video tag.

Frankenstein Opening Title

Art direction | 3D | Compositing | Sound Design : AlphonseSoftwares : C4D, Physical Render, After Effects This project is an opening title sequence and a tribute to the original Frankenstein movie directed by James Whale in 1931. It is my very first 3D project developed during my 5 months self-taught training on Cinema 4D. Most of it was done with C4D and some VFX were added in After Effects in post-production. The music is the original soundtrack from the 1931’s movie composed by Bernhard Kaun. Use the slider ◄║► to switch between the previz and the final render. I decided to recreate the Universal Pictures logo from the 1930s to take the tribute a little further. For the sequence showing the silhouette of the monster, I had fun filming myself and integrating the footage into my project. I saved time and got a more realistic result. Inside the lab, I put on the desk some anatomical sketches of Frankenstein’s monster. I was interested in testing the Midjourney AI tool and thought the opportunity was good. So I asked it to generate some « anatomical sketches of boris karloff’s frankenstein in the style of Leonardo Da vinci » and here is the […]

These are training exercices from the School Of Motion’s Animation Bootcamp. When I started this training, I was an absolute beginner in motion design and Adobe After Effects. The final exercise is kind of a package of all the knowledge gathered. All of those exercises have been designed by the School Of Motion staff and I made the animation. I made a cartoonish version of me with and I animated it to bring some fun to my portfolio. Every project is like an adventure and it’s my way to tell it with a little funny story. I followed a classic process : character design sketches, then a simple storyboard of my animation. The next step was to animate this storyboard into an animatic by using Adobe Animate. Last but not least, I put all together in Adobe After Effects to get the final version by animating the shape layers. Your browser does not support the video tag.
